Johann Haupt was one of the founders of the Jihlava Museum and also an avid photographer. In 1890 he renewed the tradition of the miners' procession – a festival where the main event is a march of children dressed in colorful costumes that represent various professions associated with silver ore mining. The procession always took place at the beginning of summer, on June 24, the feast of St. John the Baptist, even in the years of the 1st World War. After the end of the war, Mr. Haupt took its organization for granted the beginning of the Jihlava summer and thought that there would be another reason to celebrate. However, part of the inhabitants of Jihlava did not share the joy of the post-war development and part of them did not consider the traditional procession as their own. Mr Haupt therefore has a problem with the procession continuing and needs our help.

The route has 9 stops, is 3 km long and you can do it in 1.5 hours. It leads from the rear wing of the town hall around the entire historical center and follows the fortification ring.
