Thanks to the discovery of silver and its mining, Jihlava became one of the most important cities in the whole kingdom. Explore the mining professions and places that are connected to the city's silver history with a fun tourist game. Pick it up at the information centre. At the Mother of God's Gate, children can try on period miners' costumes and maybe have their photo taken in them. And if you want to see the places where silver was mined, go to Rudný Hill just outside the town, where there is a Mining Nature Trail.
Do you know the Hidden Stories app? With it, you can discover not only stories, but also hidden places that you won't find in regular guidebooks. In Jihlava we have three hidden stories! There are two about the Havířská parades, one about Gustav Mahler and one about the siege of Jihlava by the Swedes.
