Walking trip to the medieval forge and the romantic chapel of St. Anthony with the possibility of a comfortable return by train
We start the trip in Rantířov near the railway station. The green tourist trail leading along the track will lead us to the signpost Pod Rounkem and across the railway bridge along the local road we continue along the green to the picturesque gamekeeper's lodge at the edge of the forest. We turn left and after about 700 meters we come to a medieval cutter, which is a reminder of silver mining in Jihlava.
The place is equipped with information panels and a rest area. We return to the building of the former gamekeeper's lodge and continue along the green to the Chapel of St. Anthony. According to legend, the chapel is built with money from a treasure found on the site. Every year, pilgrimages are held here in June and it is often a popular place for holding romantic weddings under the open sky. When we have sufficiently enjoyed the scent of the forest and the tranquility of the pilgrimage site, we will head back to Rantířov.
