In Brtnica in the Jihlava region is the birthplace of the architect and designer Josef Hoffmann. Don't miss the experiential exhibition that will entertain adults and children alike.
Since 2006 the Hoffmann House has been a joint workplace of the Moravian Gallery Brno and the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts Vienna. There is a public library in the courtyard. The permanent exhibition focuses on the work of Josef Hoffmann and the main theme is inspiration. Every year, seasonal exhibitions are also held here. The new permanent exhibition, entitled Messenger of Beauty , presents Hoffmann's life and work, looking at him as an inspiration for today's artists, and also focuses on Hoffmann's family home with its garden and barn.
